Our mission is to keep people out of jail who shouldn’t be there.

Our Story
Eli and Jacob founded Uptrust when they saw how many people were in jail pretrial because they couldn’t afford bail – people still innocent in the eyes of the law. Underpinning high amounts of bail was often perceived “flight risk”. But after researching, it became clear that FLIGHT RISK IS A MYTH for the vast majority of defendants. People missed court because they didn’t get a reminder, had transportation issues, or were afraid. People had real challenges and needed help and Uptrust could provide a solution.
